“Where it all started”
Sanimax is very attached to the city of Lévis, where the Couture family grew up. Today, this site is an example of eco-innovation and is also the last link in the food chain in Quebec. In 2013, Sanimax installed its first biomass boiler to convert the steam generated by its activities into energy to power the plant and thus treat more than 13 million additional kilos of organic waste per year. This was a first in North America. Today, the Lévis site continues to innovate and grow!
